Q: When Is Viva La Vista?
A: Viva La Vista will be held on September 25, 2010.
Q: What are the hours of the festival?
A: The festival is open rain or shine on Saturday from 2:00 - 7:00.
Q: How much does it cost to get into the festival?
A: Festival admission is free. Food, beverages and other items may be purchased using festival tokens. Festival tokens can be purchased during the event at centrally marked locations.
Q: Where is Viva La Vista?
A: Viva La Vista is in the heart of The Vista, Columbia's premier shopping, dining and entertainment district. The event center is at Gervais Street and Lincoln Street. The Festival spans almost four city blocks.
Q: What else is there to do at the event aside from eat all the delicious food?
A: The festival includes includes live music, beer and wine tent, and much more.
Q: Where do I park?
A: All street parking is free. There's free parking in the city-owned garages located on Lincoln St. between Lady and Washington, on Assembly at Lady Street, and on Park next to the Hilton Columbia Center. You can also find free parking in the Wayne St. lot between Lady and Washington Streets. Paid parking is available in private lots throughout the neighborhood.
Q: Do I need cash, or can I use a credit card?
A: All the food and beverages are purchased using tokens, which you will find at centrally marked locations. Tokens can be purchased with cash, VISA, or MasterCard.
Q: How many tokens come in a cup?
A: You can get the best value by purchasing a large cup of tokens from one of the token booths for $20. The large cup has 21 tokens (one free!). You can also purchase tokens in cups of 10, or individually.
Q: How many tokens will I need to buy food samples or beverages?
A: Restaurant samples range from 1 to 5 tokens. Beverages range from 2 tokens to 6 tokens. Most people buy the $20 size because it comes with a free token.
Q: Should I bring the kids?
A: Yes! This is a great family event.
Q: Are pets permitted?
A: We love animals but for the safety of other festival guests we cannot allow pets at the festival.
Q: Can I bring my own cooler?
A: No coolers please. Our restaurants and beverage sponsors will serve you the great food and drink that make The Vista the hottest place in Columbia to eat, drink, and have fun.
